One of the Russian villages. Police officer Athanasius becomes a suspect in a serious crime. The locals are ready for a lynching. Investigator Sirditov faces a difficult task: on the one hand, he understands that such a crime should not go unpunished, on the other hand, it is necessary to find out all the details of the incident.
