Kakania (1989)
A rapid-fire look at life in the city through the eyes of a confused, overwhelmed man. A subway train speeds past, bicycles whiz by. People march to work. It's rhythmic chaos: figures are trapped in small brick rooms. A knife wielding mugger menaces our bewildered man. Then, ancient designs appear and we go back in time to an earlier civilization: drums, dancers with candles, and masked performers appear. But are these old ways any less frenzied? All Releases
