Bruno teaches anthropology at a university in Southern Italy, where he tries to explain to his students the principles of the harmony of the universe according to Eastern philosophies, even if since he was left by his wife, his inner serenity is the problem that most affects him. haunts. One evening, he receives a phone call from an old friend of his who excitedly tells him that he has witnessed an extraordinary natural phenomenon on the archipelago of La Galite, in the middle of the Mediterranean. Determined to cling to the study of the phenomenon to recover from his personal crisis, Bruno manages to obtain public funding for research and to put together a team with which to leave by sea: Captain Davide, the sailor Max, the expert explorer Lorenzo and Laura.
