The Larry Hankin Funny Short Film Festival -- '10 Funny Fables +1'

Hollywood, CA—Writer, performer and Oscar nominee Larry Hankin, will hold The Larry Hankin Funny Short Film Festival on Tuesday, November 30th at Cine-Space, located at 6356 Hollywood Boulevard (southwest corner of Hollywood and Ivar), Hollywood, at 8pm. This event is by invitation only and open to the industry event. RSVP to 310/314-6862.

An additional date, open to the public is Thursday, December 2nd at 7:30pm at the Los Angeles Film School, 6363 Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA.

The film festival and DVD release party for 10 Funny Fables +1 will debut Hankin's "Revenge of the Ring Thing," a comic short focusing on the life of Randalf, the long lost younger brother of Gandalf the Great Grey Wizard. The program also features Hankin's Academy Award nominated live action short, "Solly's Diner," which he wrote, directed and starred in, debuting his character 'Sometimes Jones.' His current alter ego is Emmett Sagittarius Deemus (Hankin's feuding biker uncle), who is featured in other shorts that include "My Uncle Emmett" with Fred Willard. Additional programming, starring Hankin, include "The Last Tape of Osama bin Laden," with Howard Hesseman, "The Independent" with Janeane Garafolo and Jerry Stiller, "Frogs Never Lie," "Sometimes Jones and the Magic Credit Card" and "Quicksand Hero," filmed live at The Checca Club, among others.

Larry Hankin is best known for his recurring role as Mr. Heckles, the downstairs neighbor on Friends, and for his portrayal as 'the Other Kramer,' who stole the raisins on Seinfeld, in the 'TV Show within The Show' episode. (Columbia TriStar Home Video will release Volumes One and Two of Seinfeld on November 23). He has also co-starred in Escape From Alcatraz, as the tall skinny con, with Clint Eastwood.

Mr. Hankin's comedic shorts have appeared at the Santa Cruz, Pasadena, San Francisco Independent, Chicago International, Venice, Montreal Just For Laughs and Marin County Film Festivals, as well as the Method Fest and on IFILM.com's Hit Parade. His website is www.LarryHankin.com.
