Leonardo DiCaprio to Make Oscar® Show Appearance
Beverly Hills, CA—Academy Award®–nominated actor Leonardo DiCaprio has been tapped to present at the 77th Academy Awards®, telecast producer Gil Cates announced today. This will be his first appearance as a presenter on the show.
DiCaprio received an Academy Award nomination for his leading role in The Aviator. His first Oscar nomination was for his supporting role in What's Eating Gilbert Grape in 1993. His other film credits include Catch Me If You Can, Gangs of New York, Titanic and Marvin's Room.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2004 will be presented on Sunday, February 27, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland®. The Oscars will be televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PST / 8 p.m. EST, beginning with a half-hour arrivals segment.
